Part of the Humboldt golf community since 1975.

The Chestnut Sporting Goods store opened May 30th 1975 as a small shop on Main St in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. At that time, the owner was also the only employee. The shop started its operation one year after the opening of the only golf course in the Humboldt area, namely the Humboldt Golf Club. The owner had seen at the time the rising interest of the community for golf and the need for a local golf shop if the interest was to expand.

Since then the shop has grown into a bigger store combined with a golf club outlet. The store offers its customers lessons by golf pro Woody McDuff. It is also interesting to know that all the sales associates play golf.

Join our family of golfers for the Annual Humboldt Golf Tournament.

The golf tournament will take place during the second weekeend of September 2009. The participants must must register before September 1 2009. The tee off will be on September 12th at 10:00 AM. A light meal will be serve at midday. A reception will be held at the end of the day during which the winning team will receive its prize.
